The rule is simple: you sign up, you use it, and only you can log in. Anything that needs your login, codes, ID or “help moving money” is not normal.
What happens if you sell or lend your account?
- Frozen account and funds: OKX's terms prohibit renting, lending or selling accounts.
- Frozen bank accounts: linked bank cards can be frozen if scam money passed through.
- Criminal liability: in many countries, knowingly letting others use your account to move illicit funds is a money-laundering offence.
- Getting robbed: whoever holds your login can empty the account at any time.
Someone withdrew funds from my OKX account. What now?
- Freeze the account in the app's security center or through live chat.
- Reset everything: login and fund passwords, authenticator, unknown devices and allowlisted addresses.
- Keep evidence: withdrawal records, login history, chats and transfers.
- Report it to the police and your national fraud reporting service.
- Ignore “recovery experts”: anyone offering to get your crypto back for a fee is running a second scam.
