Why did I get an OKX verification code?

As long as the code stays private, no one can use your number. The real danger is the follow-up: someone asking you to read the code out.

What should I do?

1. Ignore it. Codes expire within minutes.
2. Hang up on anyone asking for it, whether they say it was a mistake, you won a prize, or your account is under investigation.
3. If you have an OKX account: check device management and log-in history, and change your password.
4. If you don't: you can register the number yourself and turn on security so no one else can.
5. Report repeated attempts with scam calls to your local fraud hotline.

What is the OKX official email address?

OKX uses different sender addresses for sign-up codes, announcements and support replies, so “looks official” isn't enough. Two reliable checks:

• Official verification: in the OKX app, search the sender address, link, phone number or social handle to see whether it belongs to OKX.
• Anti-phishing code: set one in the security center after signing up. Genuine OKX emails will include it; emails without it are fake.

If you have no OKX account and receive an “OKX email” about account problems or rewards, it is fake.

Are there fake OKX apps?

Yes. They copy the name, logo and interface, and usually arrive through links from “mentors” or “support”, download sites offering a “global” or “pro” version, or shared TestFlight and APK files. The telltale sign: deposits work, but withdrawals demand a fee, deposit or tax first. Stop paying and report it.
